In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing the go-to-market strategy for Google Cloud's cybersecurity solutions. You will understand the Japan market, build and scale business organizations. You will also be responsible for all aspects of the cybersecurity business in Japan, including forecasting, team management and development, and building relationships with stakeholders, particularly the Cloud Sales teams in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall cybersecurity business strategy for Japan, aligning with global and regional objectives.
  • Recruit, manage and develop a performing team of cybersecurity business professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including the Cloud Sales teams and leaders in Japan, to ensure collaboration and maximize business.
  • Drive business growth and market share for Google Cloud’s cybersecurity solutions within the Japan market and accurately forecast business pipeline and business, providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Identify and develop partnerships and alliances within the Japan cybersecurity ecosystem and represent Google Cloud Cybersecurity at industry events and conferences, contributing to thought leadership and market awareness.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software, cloud or cybersecurity space.
  • Experience in identifying cybersecurity use cases to solve customer issues or selling cybersecurity technology to clients.
  • Experience in leadership within a quota-carrying team, such as people management, team lead, mentorship or coaching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in selling cybersecurity solutions or services.
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform and its cybersecurity offerings.
  • Experience working with channel partners in Japan and establishing a network of contacts within the cybersecurity market.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and ecosystem, including players, trends, and technologies.
