The Hardware Technologies Group is looking for a Camera/Depth Engineering Program Manager (EPM) that will be responsible for driving design, development, and integration of next-generation camera and depth modules into iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. In this highly multi-functional role, you will coordinate efforts of the hardware, optics, software, mechanical engineering, and operations teams to design, manufacture, and integrate high-quality cameras for Apple's entire product line.

Description

Leading an hardware engineering team through designing, manufacturing, testing, and validation of camera and depth modules.
Defining and driving the build plan for multiple module integrators, serving as the primary lead during module development, and advocating for the best camera performance throughout the organization.
Creating and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Collaborating with engineering managers and peer engineering program managers on supervising and maintaining the execution plan and status, through personal connections, processes, and tools.
Navigating interpersonal conflicts and bringing people together.
Responsible for delivering depth and camera modules on schedule, facilitating risk management, and communicating status and issues to the development team and Apple executives.
Facilitating effective communication and transparency between the cooperating cross-functional teams.
Understanding technical issues and driving them to closure by bringing key stakeholders for decision-making.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance program management efficiency, data analysis, and decision-making.
Ability to travel internationally required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Physics or related field.
  • Coursework and/or internship experience in hardware domains as a program/project manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Coursework and/or internship experience in optics and lens design
  • Coursework and/or internship experience in camera module design, development, or project management
  • Coursework and/or internship experience in mobile phone system design, system integration, or manufacturing
  • Coursework and/or internship experience with mass-production consumer electronics, supply chain, and test processes
  • Coursework and/or internship experience working with international OEM/ODM partners, vendors, or in a multinational development environment
  • Exceptional listening, presentation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and hardworking, with strong creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and encourage team members
  • Highly organized, with the ability to create high-quality plans and status reports
  • Skilled at filtering and distilling relevant information for the appropriate audience
  • Genuine passion and know-how for photography, digital imaging, and consumer products
