Description

We are seeking a high energy intern who can work full-time for a minimum of 4 months, for Product Quality Engineering.

Product Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality improvement actions for current and future Apple products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the electrical and destructive failure analysis for failure reproduction, data collection, and root cause identification
  • Be involved in new micro-joining process development to enhance the future product quality and conduct DOEs to validate process capability
  • Use data to develop the quality monitoring system and implement the data-driven alert system

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering
  • Experience on data analysis, visualization and reporting
  • Basic understanding on surface mount assembly process
  • Must be able to be based in Pohang (weekdays) for the duration of the internship

Preferred Qualifications

  • It’s helpful if you meet one or more of the following qualifications, but it isn’t a requirement
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts
  • Understanding of DOE principles
  • Experience in developing quality plans, validating test methods, and driving corrective actions/failure analysis efforts
  • Experience with any of the following tools: FIB/SEM, X-ray, Probe Station, FTIR/Raman, Spectrometer, TDR
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills - verbal, written and executive presentations
