Engineering Program Manager (ANE/ML/AI), Video Engineering
Summary
We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to join the Video Engineering EPM team to work on cutting edge Apple Neural Engine (ANE), Machine Learning, and AI technology to deliver world-class Apple experiences. The ideal candidate will have internship or academic project experience in product development or program/project management, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow with an amazing team while learning to develop new technologies.
Description
Support multi-functional teams to help plan and track firmware and low-level software projects that support technology development. Assist with tracking ML model inference and optimization efforts for performance, power, and memory. Help build and maintain development schedules, and support identification of critical paths under guidance from senior team members. Help identify and document technical risk areas, escalating to senior EPMs or technologists as needed. Maintain coordination and communication with engineering teams. Help synthesize data into clear written and verbal summaries that support team decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in program/project management or software development
- Some exposure to embedded firmware/software development or related hardware/software product development (through coursework, internships, or personal projects)
- Basic hands-on exposure to AI/ML concepts beyond using LLMs (e.g., coursework, personal projects, or internship work)
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field
- Adapts well to change and remains calm and flexible in the face of ambiguity
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Demonstrated curiosity and critical thinking through academic or internship projects
