Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) is hiring a Regional RME Manager to lead and oversee RME operations across multiple sites across Mexico. This is a leadership role in the country, responsible for driving safety culture, equipment reliability and operational excellence across our busiest buildings.
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can operate independently across geographically dispersed sites, influence senior stakeholders across RME, Operations, and cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates with clarity, and raises the bar on standards — from safety and reliability to people development and financial governance.

Requirements:
  • Strong safety orientation with demonstrated culture leadership
  • Multi-site leadership experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering environments
  • English proficiency (regular participation in meetings conducted in English)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and business cases
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and influencing external service providers to successful outcomes
  • Strong communication skills
  • This is a full on-site role in one of our critical sites with 50–75% travel based on business needs (non-negotiable)
Key job responsibilities
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion safety culture across all sites; ensure compliance with local regulations and Amazon global standards.
  • Multi-Site Leadership: Oversee RME performance across multiple buildings, ensuring consistent execution of preventive/predictive maintenance programs and reliability standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and manage relationships with Operations leaders, 3P vendors, support teams, and internal business partners at all levels on site and remotely.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Serve as primary business contact for key suppliers; drive safety standards, drive cost efficiencies, and hold vendors accountable to SLAs and performance outcomes.
  • Financial Ownership: Own and deliver the regional maintenance budget; identify savings opportunities and build business cases backed by data and metrics.
  • Strategic Execution: Provide input on and execute standard operational procedures; deploy LATAM roadmap initiatives; drive alignment to international RME standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage root cause analysis to eliminate recurring maintenance issues.
  • People & Org Development: Lead, coach, and develop RME teams across sites; drive talent pipelines and recruitment strategy for the region.
  • Launch & Peak Support: Provide RME leadership for new site launches and peak operational events.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • 5+ years of distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience
  • 7+ years of facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Knowledge of advanced English at CEFR level B2/C1
  • 2+ years of Reliability Program Manager experience, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards
  • Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls , industrial electronics
