Description
The REPS Engineering Project Manager intern (Data expert) is a highly visible role with company-wide impact. You will be focused on supporting new and sustaining products via close collaboration with internal and external partners to track and handle certification timelines, schedules, and project landmarks. You will work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure our products meet the highest global and Apple-specified requirements in a fast-paced and demanding product development environment. This role will also require the meticulous management, recording, storage, and organization of critical certification data into internal systems and repositories. In your capacities as a data scientist, you will thoughtfully visualize complex data sets to extract meaningful insights in an easy to understand manner for a wide range of audiences.
Responsibilities
- Work with EPM colleagues to refine and uphold project schedules needed to ensure the on-time completion of deliverables and achievement of product landmarks
- Drive, coordinate, and upload certification documents and test reports to Apple-internal databases and systems, holding responsible parties accountable for deliverables
- Generate periodic reports and updates for wider team and leadership consumption, calling out risks where appropriate
- Manage key project management collaborative, tracking, and communications tools and systems; administer effective use of those systems to ensure established processes are followed
- Provide project and issue management by leading meetings and fostering collaboration and closure
- Solid knowledge on Data Visualization or Data Analyst role, prefer candidate with working experience in manufacturing industry
- Skilled using Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, JMP, Spark, Hadoop, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Student of Master degree in ME/EE/CE areas
- Available to join internship for 6-12 months full-time( min. 3 months FT)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written (In both Chinese and English)
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of relational database technologies such as Tableau, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
- Experience in analytics scripting languages, such as Python or R is a plus
- Experience in multi-tasking and project management
