The Marcom Media team strategically plans and executes world-class media campaigns across all platforms, leveraging media nuances and creative best practices to drive success. They oversee paid media efforts while managing budgets and guiding agency partners. This team continuously explores new channels and formats, integrating media-driven perspectives into creative to keep Apple at the forefront of innovation.
Description
The Greater China Media expert will oversee the strategy and implementation of paid media efforts, including social media initiatives, tailored to each regional market. Partnering closely with the advertising team, they will bring media-driven perspectives into the creative process, helping shape ideas. This role also focuses on managing media budgets, guiding agency partners, and continuously exploring new channels and formats to keep Apple at the forefront of media innovation across diverse markets.
Responsibilities
- Brief, plan, assess and evaluate media plans, and flawlessly deploy paid media campaigns to ensure a strong and effective presence for the brand across all media channels (Broadcast, OOH, Digital, Social, etc.)
- Lead and inspire our agency partners to deliver creative, innovative and effective go-to-market campaigns
- Be an authority in digital media and explore how Apple can reach new audiences via social and digital channels and platforms.
- Closely monitor our campaign KPI’s and oversee post campaign analysis, guiding how we optimize our approach for future campaigns
- Support the creative development process, unearthing and contributing media insights to guide creative concepts through to execution including the connected journey.
- Through this, be a key cross functional partner for Advertising, Planning, Interactive and the Creative teams.
- Regularly evaluate our media approaches, identifying and testing new opportunities and ways to measure impact in order to expand our presence across new platforms, formats and landing experiencesHandle media budgets and scrutinise all media investment across channels and ensure that plans and estimates are reflected accurately in the financial process
Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 12+ years of experience in a media agency (with a focus on digital).
- Experience in crafting, executing and reporting digital media campaigns
- Outstanding digital and social media knowledge, and an understanding of the fundamentals of the role of other media in the overall media mix, eg broadcast and outdoor
- Deep understanding of media buying, media analytics and how AI is transforming the landscape
- Deep knowledge of digital platforms in China

- Ability to collaborate with the XF team and provide strategic inputs to drive integration
