Description
The Government Affairs group is looking for a China Health Policy&Government Affairs Lead under the GA organization, with a dedicated focus on health-related policy, regulatory strategy, and government stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and helping to shape China’s policy and regulatory environment relevant to health, medical devices, digital health, and health data;
- Building and maintaining senior-level, strategic relationships with key Chinese government stakeholders (e.g., MOFCOM, Development Research Center of the State Council, Shanghai Municipal Government, and others as appropriate);
- Supporting Apple executive-level engagements with Chinese state leaders and NMPA chief/deputy commissioner-level officials on health-related issues;
- Engaging with trade associations and relevant institutions (e.g., USCBC, AmCham, NMPA Institute of Executive Development) to ensure a consistent and principled Apple narrative with Chinese authorities, aligned with our global commitments and compliance standards;
- Serving as a strategic interface between global/China Health priorities and China’s policy and regulatory landscape, and coordinating external engagements where issues involve regulatory interpretation, policy evolution, cross-agency alignment, or structural barriers affecting Apple’s Health roadmap.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of government affairs experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sector;
- Broad network with regulators, academia and industrial associations;
- Being autonomous and being able to clearly work towards establish goals and initiatives with minimal oversight;
- Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for Apple’s business and goals;
- Collaborative and capable to advise and influence stakeholders;
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong ability to identify and work with appropriate stakeholders;
- Proven skills in managing executive-level communications;
- Deep root in the circles and solid industrial reference;
- Excellent capability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
