Now, We have an opportunity for a Battery Material Development Engineer of Lithium-ion Battery who have strong business sense to enable the development of new innovative battery solutions with advanced materials technology and creative cell design capability, through effective communications skills and vendor management skills.

You will provide leadership over a network of technology development partners, innovative technology companies, and with our internal battery development team to plan and implement a collaborative development program to achieve energy storage roadmap goals!

Description

1. Lead and guide related Cell vendors to complete high energy density next generation LIB realization under daring timelines with your developed materials.

2. Create implementation plan and documentation of above.

3. Define key factor, procedures, measurement way, and create solution.

4. Produce and organize required budgets and forecasts.

5. Keep identify potential external partners, assess their technologies, and take the role of negotiation for establishing partnerships on strategic technology initiatives with your internal partners.

6. If required, build interactive partnerships also with external R&D institute.

7. Based on the above contents, guide the team, manage to achieve the goal, and also focus on training subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of Battery and/or Battery materials designing experience for lithium-ion battery or advanced lithium batteries plus 5 or more years of cell designing management experience of same above.
  • Direct experience in product, process and equipment development from initial prototype to MP stage is preferred.
  • Experience in managing external vendors and contractors to develop and qualify battery cell designs and advanced battery material technologies.
  • Familiarity with applicable test equipment and test procedures of rechargeable lithium battery products.
  • Familiarity with current state of art production processes applicable to lithium rechargeable cells with novel materials knowledge.
  • Experience with mathematical modeling of battery designs.
  • Experience with applying quality tools and their application to production of lithium batteries including statistical analysis of performance results, process capabilities, and design of experiments.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Pro-activeness and self-motivation.
  • Concise and accurate communication ability to explain to all concerned in the company when a problem arises, and ability to adjust to solve the problem to external parties
  • The ability for frequent travel all over the world as needed
  • Master or PhD degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related fields prepared.
