Summary

We're looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer passionate about building software integration systems and developer tools. Our team has developed a software integration system to allow developers more power to manage their software changes across a wide number of software release trains and across many hardware platforms. It’s critical we continue to build this system to empower developers to spend more time focusing on building their technologies and applications. We are a team enthusiastic about building critical pieces of developer tooling as well as the systems needed to uphold a high bar of quality and reliability. Join us in our mission to enhance the Apple software development ecosystem by providing engineering teams with powerful, efficient, and dependable continuous integration capabilities.

Description

The engineer will develop and maintain CI pipelines that serve both broad client needs as well as specific use cases dependent on the domain and feature sets of each team. This person will interface with client team integration leads to collaborate on roadmaps and services planning, ensuring alignment between CI capabilities and team requirements. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining high uptime of CI pipelines, particularly during critical integration periods when reliability is paramount. This person will build innovative solutions for how CI pipelines communicate status and feedback to clients and users, especially when build, test, or system failures arise. The engineer in this role will keep CI pipelines integrated with the latest central build and integration processes across all Apple operating system release trains. This person will debug complex computer and networked systems to root cause failures in distributed build and integration environments and build solutions. The engineer in this role will be required to innovate with integrating large language models (LLMs) and generative AI tools into engineering workflows for the purposes of improving operational efficiency and productivity. Ideal candidates for this role will have a passion for building high-quality developer tools and understand the processes involved to ship software at large scale. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to be successful in working across many teams to build the best developer experience possible. Ideal candidates are energetic when collaborating with others and are hungry to build innovative solutions that improve developer productivity.
