Description
We have an opportunity for a FG/DC Operations Specialist for Japan.
This role would be responsible for supporting the Japan Distribution Center (DC) manager and warehouse operations to service our routes to market. This includes providing support for the day-to-day operations, as well as partnering with the warehouse vendor so as to drive performance excellence and improving operational capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Manage the 3PLs SLA performance, warehouse spent, SOW compliance in accordance to Apple’s requirements
- Drive the 3PLs towards operation excellence in areas including operations execution, losses and damage, continuous improvement program, inventory accuracy
- Collaborate with 3PLs during key events such as new product launches, store opening to ensure a detailed and successful execution
- Assess and facilitate region-wide change management programs
- Support the cross-functional teams in capital projects as the Subject Matter Expert
- Develop executable BCPs within the supply chain network
- Responsible for regional reporting
- Any projects & tasks as the need arises
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain with in-depth functional knowledge of key logistics processes
- Equipped with strong business and operations knowledge within the relevant field. Including, but not limited to, B2C, Retail operations
- Strong vendor management skills and working experience with major 3PLs in APAC
- A distinct passion for operations with good analytical skills; should have the ability to evaluate, analyze and present data
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in English and Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP, Business objects (or equivalent) and database skills will be an advantage
- Highly adaptable and resilient to the challenges of a dynamic environment
- Effective time management, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace, information-sensitive environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, social and negotiation skills
- Creative thinker with a practical approach to problem solving and process improvement

- As this job is in direct relation to operational volumes, flexibility on working hours is occasionally required
