Description

In this role, you will work in a lab environment, maximising your engineering and scientific expertise, alongside cutting-edge equipment, to identify the root causes of electrical failures in Apple products. You will also be responsible for recommending corrective actions and presenting your findings to global teams and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the failure background and design creative investigation plans
  • Conduct investigations, including but not limited to operating a variety of advanced electrical fault isolation tools
  • Report findings and actively participate in discussions and debates with colleagues to determine next steps, conclusions, and corrective actions
  • Present data in global meetings and executive reviews

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Materials/Chemical Science, or a related field
  • Experience in electrical design or failure analysis related to consumer electronics, semiconductors
  • Hands-on experience with at least one advanced failure analysis/debug tools, such as Oscilloscope, Lock-in Thermography (LIT), OBIRCH, EMMI, SAT, nano probe, etc.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, including the ability to seek direction, listen to feedback, and convey complex findings concisely and understandably

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific failure analysis expertise in any of the following fields: mother boards, electronics components, semiconductor devices, semiconductor manufacturing, or PCB manufacturing
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and shifting work scopes to meet business needs, with a strong aptitude for learning new techniques
  • Experience with material analysis tools experience such as SEM, FTIR, and FIB
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to collaborate closely across different organizations
  • Software coding experience in AI/ML
