We are the Car Experience Quality team, and we work on products that give customers smarter, safer ways to use iPhone in the car. We work closely with our cross-functional partners on products like CarPlay, CarPlay Ultra, and Digital Car Key. We partner with broad multi-functional teams inside Apple to solve hard problems to ensure that our customers have a seamless and familiar experience while in their cars. We are seeking a motivated Car Experience Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Description
We're searching for a creative and motivated Car Experience Automation Engineer with strong technical background and a passion for quality. As a member of the Car Experience Quality organization, you will work with your peers and cross-functional partners in test planning, developing and deploying automated tests, analyzing large data sets to extract meaningful insights, and reporting comprehensive quality status to stakeholders. Your keen attention to detail, creative problem solving, passion for technology, data-informed approach, and desire to make a difference, will help drive the success of our products in the market.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying system level automation solutions
- 2+ years of experience conducting software and hardware validation
- Strong software engineering skills delivering optimized and well-tested code
- Experience in analyzing complex datasets (e.g., test results, logs) to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, and inform decision-making
- Ability to communicate and document complex issues clearly and bring attention to emerging problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience with robotics
- Expertise in ML algorithms and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Experience with automotive infotainment and connectivity implementations
- Expertise in testing and debugging issues related to WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, and/or USB.
- Experience in developing test strategies, getting alignment with key partners, and conducting end-to-end validation via manual and automated tests, ideally informed by data insights
