The Wallet, Payments, and Commerce (WPC) team is dedicated to delivering a suite of services and platforms that allow users to easily, privately, securely, and responsibly digitize their wallet. Leveraging our main frameworks, Apple Pay (for payments), Apple Wallet (for a wide range of other wallet style functionality), our partners can offer simple, private, and secure experiences that build on our goals to safeguard our users' information and to protect their financial health.
Description
We are looking for a person who is able to support Apple Pay Business Operations across the whole stack of Apple Pay services such as transit, in-store and online payments, identity program, loyalty programs and more!
Based in Tokyo, this role will be responsible for handling day-to-day Apple Pay operations such as data analysis, payment / billing, program partner support and fraud risk management. This will involve working in collaboration with cross-functional, regional and worldwide Apple teams, external agencies and partners such as payment card issuers, transit operators, payment networks, governmental body, loyalty schemes and many more.

Responsibilities
- Support and drive execution of Apple Pay business operations in Japan and Korea, such as launch readiness planning, testing, reporting, billing and fraud risk management
- Track and report on key performance metrics and current business trends, and use these results and analysis to support business development and initiatives
- Propose and implement areas of improvements for operational excellence to keep up with evolving and diversified business requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on technical and operational issue resolution to support partner onboarding and maintain quality customer experience post-launch
- Build processes and tools that drive efficiency of day-to-day operations using MS Excel, VBA, Python, etc
- Contribute to building deliverables for critical internal and external business meetings including periodic / ad-hoc business reviews
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Fluent oral and written communication and presentation skills in both Japanese and English
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering tangible results in financial services and/or technology
- Problem solver with strong analytical skills and uncompromising attention to details that drive issues to root cause
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects, effective at building consensus, and comfortable engaging across internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in using complex data and information to provide commercial insights that empower the team to drive business execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Korean is a plus
- Experience in operations within the payment sector
- Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and other data analytic tools
- Ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed technical concepts and broader strategic business needs
- Ability to see the big picture and be comfortable with ambiguity; flexibility to adapt to change and respond quickly to emerging priorities
- Curiosity and creativity in analyzing processes and identifying improvements to accommodate business needs
