Description
The Vendor Management Organization (VMO) manager within the Maps Business Operations team is responsible for defining and implementing a robust and best-in-class VMO. Responsibilities include maturing our current capabilities and building out other strengths. The Vendor Management Organization (VMO) manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's vendor engagements, from the strategy, engagement, ensuring corporate compliance to contract execution and management. Responsibilities
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable conditions and minimize risks.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess vendor performance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in vendor relationships and develop mitigation strategies.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as procurement, engineering, legal, and finance to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance vendor management efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles, ideally in the tech industry.
- 5+ years managing direct reports.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with vendor management software and tools.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,200 and $298,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
