Description

We are seeking an exceptional Carrier Account Manager to support and develop the end-to-end Japan strategy for key telecommunications partnerships.

This role requires a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, e-commerce expansion, and customer experience improvements across both Online and Retail store channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance performance and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership Management: Lead the development of Carrier strategy for Retail, serving as primary relationship owner for assigned Carrier partners while building strong partnerships through cross-functional business planning, QBRs, and collaborative growth initiatives aligned with overall business goals
  • Commercial Performance & Growth: Drive revenue growth and profitability by managing commercial performance of Carriers, negotiating contracts and service agreements, and implementing expansion strategies across Online and Store channels including product launches and promotional campaigns
  • Omnichannel Customer Experience: Collaborate with Carrier and internal teams to enhance end-to-end customer experiences across stores and digital platforms, utilizing customer insights to optimize purchase journeys, post-purchase support, and implement initiatives that drive loyalty and retention
  • Performance Analytics & Optimization: Track and analyze KPIs to optimize sales, pricing strategies, and promotional effectiveness while developing data-driven insights and recommendations to identify new growth opportunities
  • Cross-Functional Project Execution: Serve as commercial point of contact for capital projects and key initiatives, collaborating with product teams, marketing, operations, and store teams to implement carrier-specific programs, enhance in-store activations, and drive digital transformation
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies while developing and presenting comprehensive performance reports with actionable insights to maintain competitive advantage and inform strategic decision-making

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken) required to effectively manage carrier partnerships and stakeholder communications
  • More than 5 years experience working with Japanese Carrier partners or Carrier partners in the APAC region or experience in commercial strategy, retail business management or account management
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Deep understanding of the consumer electronics market, including wireless carrier trends, competitive dynamics, and channel strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in a role within a global brand and matrix organization is desired
  • Expertise in e-commerce or omni-channel retail strategies, with a focus on driving online sales growth
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovative growth ideas
  • Detail oriented / effective in process management and documentation
