Description
As part of Manufacturing Design’s Subject Matter Expert team, create new highly cosmetic surface finishes and high standard functional plating stack. Work with Apple’s Industrial Design and Product Design teams to develop surface finishes with new colors and new functional requirements.
In this highly hands-on role, you will enjoy the key decision-making combined with the on-site problem solving and process set up for the best products in the world today. You will look after the process development, design and qualify the plating process, set up the systems for state of art compose in a cosmetically fast paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in Chemical Engineering and / or plating relevant manufacturing work experiences.
- Minimum 3 years of developing new plated stack or plating process.
- Experience in plating shop or plating chemical supplier.
- Skilled in JMP, DOE, SPC, and chemical analysis.
- Proficient English and Mandarin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understand for plating including different plating process like Cu & Au & Ni & Precious metal and different plating equipment like R2R & Barrel & Rack, can design the tools and racks according to the requirements and parts geometry.
- Must be able to develop plated layer stack-up or process or equipment to meet both cosmetic and functional reliability requirement.
- Experience working on plating process with an international supply chain.
- Ability to drive root cause/corrective action activities, and solid understanding of DOE principles and use of statistical software.
- Ability to plan, execute, and present results from investigations using statistical analysis and clearly communicated results and recommendations.
- Ability to define clear and good process controls and documentation for a robust process. Also onsite audit to make sure all these ask was followed by the vendor.
- A team player who is self-motivated, results oriented and detailed oriented. Ability to influence across multiple functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and passion to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Experience in massive data analysis, coding and machine learning would be a plus.
