Description
The Manufacturing Design team enables the mass production of Apple's entire product line you can think of. Part of the magic that makes all this possible is a robust set of applications and systems designed and developed by Apple that support a product’s journey from prototype to launch and beyond. As a member of MDS (Manufacturing Design Systems), the system you will work on is a critical part of manufacturing at Apple.
Your work will have a significant impact on Apple’s products. This role is responsible for the implementation of software system and solution using within the enclosure manufacturing process and the broader Manufacturing Design organization. Your contribution will ensure that our operational needs are met, boosting greater efficiency, simplicity, cost savings, quality, standardization, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Engage and lead cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, supply chain and software to align the requirements and system design
- Negotiate with suppliers on the project scope, schedule and results, estimate the technical efforts and identify the risks before the implementation
- Lead and work with CM and vendor to establish Apple Manufacturing Traceability system solution
- Ensure data quality is AI-ready
- Understand the production processes and operations struggles down to the details, simplify the sophisticated problem and deliver clear information
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational problems with our system by various methods, including AI/ML
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in industry software consulting or implementation
- Proven skills in project management, with the ability to guide and coordinate diverse teams and external partners
- Data analysis experience in data extracting, cleaning and mining
Preferred Qualifications
- IT experience: software/hardware/network experience or MES/ERP experience
- Operations knowledge: broad quality/supply chain/operations management knowledge.
- Practical experience with AI in manufacturing
- SQL and Python, Network topology and Linux server experience, PMP/6 Sigma certification preferred, MBA preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven cross-functional leadership
- Willing to travel
