UX Research Manager, Monetization
Description
Monetization is looking for a Research Manager with skills in user experience research, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires a broad range of skills and expertise that strikes a balance between speed and rigor in their work, with a proven ability to transform research insights into design and product recommendations that drive decisions It's not enough to answer interesting questions about user behavior; our team focuses on impact. You will lead a team of high quality researchers across a key product vertical, and across multiple research disciplines. We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of building and managing teams. You must become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of user research, and by delivering insights that lead to measurable business value.
Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize short-term and long-term research that delivers the highest impact Allocate resources and talent to ensure we are always focusing on the highest priorities and influencing critical product decisions Deliver actionable and relevant insights aligned to both strategic and tactical product and designs decisions Hire, develop, and retain talent across different skillsets (qual and quant) Guide research throughout the product life-cycle from early stage generative research, through iterative concept or prototype testing, and post-launch measurement Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering and other cross-functional partners to ensure research is integrated into the product development process
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or related field or significant experience conducting User Experience research with meaningful business impact 18+ years of experience conducting and/or studying research post-Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time researchers Experience directly managing across different research methodologies Experience directly conducting primary research (either qualitative or quantitative) end-to-end (e.g. designing, fielding, analyzing and reporting out data) Experience building teams over time through hiring, growing, and retaining researchers Experience building and setting research strategy that connects with business strategy Track record of translating research into business impact and communicating research findings to technical and non-technical audiences Experience working with a variety of cross functional peers and stakeholders to achieve shared goals (For example, product managers, data scientists, designers, engineers, policy, communications, marketing) Master's or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or related field Experience working in advertising, monetization, or commerce topics Experience leading teams across timezones
Compensation: $193,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
