The Greater China Channel & Partner Communications team is responsible for all marketing communications and customer experiences across Apple’s indirect channels. We formulate world-class omni-channel strategies that provide customers thoughtful, engaging and integrated experiences; experiences that meet Apple’s brand and creative standards of excellence.

Description

The Marcom Channel Lead for Greater China drives channel communications growth, builds channel capabilities within the local team, and serves as a key member of the Greater China leadership team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners, sales, and external agencies to execute innovative communication strategies that enhance Apple's channel presence and engagement in this critical market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marcom Greater China Team and foster a culture of insightful and innovative thinking within the team, empowering them to make data-driven decisions based on identified key insights about business partners across different markets
  • Lead the planning and execution of Apple's channel communications and experiences (product launches, refreshes, campaign extensions), ensuring timely delivery, flawless execution, and continuous improvement through insights and learnings.
  • Work across the global organization to understand both macro and comms trends for Apple product and services.
  • Drive innovative partner strategies and impactful creative work for Apple products and services through a deep understanding of the Apple brand, our partner’s brands, commercial priorities, market trends and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication channels between internal teams (worldwide channel functions and sales) and Global (Geo) Partner Communications teams to ensure alignment on partner strategies and communication plans, encompassing advertising, digital channels, and partner-owned marketing channels (in-store and online).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing/advertising agencies or in-house marketing communications organizations across key Greater China markets with 7+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience shaping organizational vision and culture in creative communication environments.
  • An understanding of digital platforms in China, providing guidance on consumers O2O journey to drive platforms and content innovations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both digital platforms and offline retail environments across diverse city tiers and routes-to-market in China.
  • Deep understanding of business and product strategy and consumer insights, to build a global communications strategy for partners.
  • Experience in international account management and/or strategy at an advertising agency or in-house marketing communications for a global brand.
  • Passion for great work, seeing potential and nourishing it, with a tremendous ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders to drive the work forward.
  • Ability to delve deeply into a partner’s business, marketing strategy and consumer insights, to understand challenges and find opportunities, both in B2C and B2B.
  • Passion and eagerness to drive thoughtful strategy, build innovative communication plans and develop great creative and integrated campaigns.
  • Ability to confidently build rapport, credibility and influence across multiple stakeholders in a highly matrix’d organization.
  • Experience in understanding business and product strategy and consumer insights, to build a global communications strategy for partners.
