Imagine what you could do here! We have an opportunity for New Product Introduction Operations Program Manager (NPI OPM) in Japan with our Core Technologies team.
The Core Technologies NPI OPM launches products on time, with high quality, and maximum customer availability. In Core Technologies, you will lead the key subsystems across all platforms that make iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad great.
Description
OPMs are pivotal to the dynamic development and launch of Apple’s products. A successful NPI OPM is a leader and facilitator; is driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/ project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts, both internally and with our vendor partners.
We lead within worldwide Operations and collaborate with the core product development team and other functional organizations within Apple.

Responsibilities
- Lead program readiness reviews, ensuring factory readiness from a 4M standpoint and resolving launch risks
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical leads, process, quality, procurement…) and external suppliers to drive pre-launch builds
- Ensure successful mass production ramp-up for key products (image sensor for Cameras)
- Excellent communicator, able to present updates to multi-functional teams and executives
- Own vendor factory performance and drive continuous improvements in their competency and robustness
- Manage escalation of internal teams and external vendors, resolving conflicts to ensure program delivery
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain or product development
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Business level language proficiency in English
- BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Business level language proficiency in Japanese
- MBA is a plus
- Experienced in Program Manager role is a plus
