This position is a part of the Java platform client (User Interface) team. The work involves development activities related to regular updates of the Java development platform (JDK) in client (UI) technologies. This is a senior individual contributor position, and candidate is expected to have expert level knowledge of the technical domain, processes, and ability to mentor less experienced engineers of the team.

Responsibilities

Developers on this team will be working on several different Java UI Toolkit technologies including JavaFX, Swing/Java2D and native web libraries such as Chromium, WebKit or Blink. The scope of the work done by this team includes developing support for new platforms and hardware. This further includes implementation of new features as necessary and addressing issues around performance, specification compliance and updating the implementation to address security considerations.
