The Reality Labs Battery team seeks a Technical Program Manager who has a experience with and an in-depth understanding for battery development. As a battery TPM, you will be responsible for collecting cross-functional inputs to support the team in designing, validating, and delivering custom battery cell and pack technologies at scale. You have a passion for problem solving and finding creative solutions to help our team accomplish bold things. This is a full-time position based in our China office.

Responsibilities

Technical Program Manager for Reality Labs Devices battery products including Virtual Reality, Wearables, Accessories and/or new devices End-to-end coordination of battery design, engineering, and validation from product concept through launch Collaborate with broad cross functional partner team including engineering, product management, compliance and operations to realize product requirements Execute the program schedule and manage day to day activities Present program updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks and mitigation plans Contribute to process improvements for the organization Collaborate closely with Asia-Pacific vendors for NPI builds Up to 70% international and domestic travel at supplier factory sites

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines, physics, or equivalent experience Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin is required 3+ years experience as an engineering / technical program manager managing battery programs from concept to mass production Experience working with battery cell and pack suppliers Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience operating under your own initiative across multiple teams You have a passion for problem solving and finding creative solutions to help our team accomplish bold things MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines, physics, or equivalent experience 5+ years of hands-on battery program management experience Knowledge of consumer electronics design cycles Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and validation Experience with Battery compliance and certification processes
