The Oracle HCM Practice within CSS focuses on delivering high-impact Human Capital Management solutions using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) HRMS and Oracle Fusion HCM. The team combines deep functional expertise, technical excellence, and advisory capabilities to support customers across their HCM lifecycle—from implementation and optimization to cloud transformation and managed services.

 Job Summary

The Principal Oracle HCM EBS & Fusion Techno-Functional Consultant serves as a trusted advisor and solution authority for Oracle HCM implementations and support engagements. This role blends deep functional knowledge with hands-on technical expertise to design, implement, integrate, and maintain Oracle EBS HRMS and Fusion HCM solutions aligned with business and Oracle best practices.

You will work directly with customers to translate HR and payroll business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable Oracle solutions, while also guiding customers through their HCM optimization and cloud journey.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer HR and payroll business requirements and design Oracle HCM EBS and Fusion solutions that meet strategic and operational objectives.
  • Lead and contribute to end-to-end implementations, enhancements, and optimizations across Oracle EBS HRMS and Fusion HCM modules.
  • Act as the Oracle Solution Delivery authority, advising on scope, architecture, reusability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Design, develop, and support integrations between EBS HRMS, Fusion HCM, and other Oracle or third-party applications.
  • Provide hands-on development and configuration for reports, data loaders, integrations, fast formulas, and customizations.
  • Support customers across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring smooth transition from implementation to operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Technical Account Managers and internal teams to ensure technically sound and well-governed delivery.
  • Participate in presales activities, shaping solutions and promoting Oracle HCM products and services to support business growth.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory (Must-Have)

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Oracle HCM solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS and Oracle Fusion HCM, with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations.
  • Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following:
    • Core HR, Payroll, OTL, Absence Management, Talent Management, Learning, Compensation, Benefits, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC).
  • Strong experience in data migration and loading tools including:
    • APIs, Payroll Batch Loader, HR Data Loader (HDL), interfaces, extracts, web services, and spreadsheet loaders.
  • Proven knowledge of EBS HRMS patching, upgrades, testing strategies, and change management best practices.
  • Strong understanding of roles, responsibilities, and security models in EBS HRMS.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • OTBI, BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, dashboards, extracts, Fast Formulas, SOAP services, BPM, sandboxes, personalization, and Page Composer.
  • Technical development experience in:
    • SQL, PL/SQL, workflows, AME, Alert Manager, Forms Personalization, and Oracle APIs.
  • Experience designing Fusion customizations and integrations using:
    • Visual Builder, ADF, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Process Builder to Oracle ERP Cloud.

Good-to-Have (Preferred)

  • Experience working in Oracle Customer Success Services or a similar managed services environment.
  • Exposure to large-scale global HR/payroll implementations.
  • Presales or solution architecture experience.
  • Oracle HCM or related Oracle certifications.
  • Strong documentation, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.

  1. Have I led or played a key role in multiple end-to-end Oracle EBS HRMS and Fusion HCM implementations, including post-go-live support?
  2. Do I have hands-on functional expertise in core HR and payroll processes, along with at least one advanced HCM module?
  3. Am I comfortable designing and troubleshooting data migrations and integrations using HDL, APIs, web services, and Oracle tools?
  4. Have I independently designed or supported custom reports, fast formulas, and security models in EBS or Fusion HCM?
  5. Can I confidently advise customers on best practices, architecture decisions, and cloud transformation strategies?
