Job Title: HCM Solutions Engineering Intern

Location: Woodmead, South Africa

Program Duration: This internship is a 12-month program starting 1 April 2026.

Eligibility: This internship is open to graduates who have not previously participated in an internship or held a permanent role for over 12 months.

In line with our obligations under the Employment Equity Act 1998, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups

About the Role

As an HCM Solutions Engineering Intern, you’ll work with the team that helps customers understand how Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud solutions can solve real HR challenges.

You don’t need a tech background — but you do need a strong HR foundation, curiosity about digital transformation, and the confidence to translate people-related challenges into practical solutions.

You’ll learn how HR and technology meet: recruitment, talent management, payroll, learning, engagement, workforce planning… all the fun things HR teams struggle with and Oracle helps fix.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Solution Engineers in preparing demos and presentations for Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Help document customer HR processes, challenges, and requirements during discovery sessions.
  • Assist with creating solution outlines, value messaging, and HR process maps.
  • Conduct research on HR trends, workforce technology, and competitive insights.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Consulting teams on internal projects.
  • Help maintain demo environments, content libraries, and reference materials.
  • Participate in training to deepen your understanding of Oracle HCM and modern HR practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or related HR field.
  • A genuine interest in HR technology and how digital tools improve people processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable explaining ideas or presenting information.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Any exposure to HR systems (even university projects or HRIS modules).
  • Interest in topics like employee experience, talent management, workforce analytics, or HR digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts or willingness to learn quickly.
