Functional Consultant - Core Banking
Job Summary
As a Corporate Banking Domain Specialist in our consulting practice, you will collaborate with Territory Heads, Delivery Managers, and project teams to deliver business-focused banking solutions utilizing Oracle technologies. You will analyze bank requirements, transform complex business needs into actionable functional specifications, and play a key role in client engagements throughout solution design, testing, and implementation. This is a progressive career path toward becoming a Subject Matter Expert or Solution Architect within the financial services domain.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth business analysis and requirement gathering for corporate banking clients.

Facilitate discussions with customers and internal teams to define, clarify, and document functional specifications, especially for Corporate Banking (Lending, Limits, Supply Chain, Trade Finance, Cross Border Payments/SWIFT).

Guide and support teams in preparing and validating functional/business test plans and documentation.

Oversee and mentor teams through product implementation, functional testing, and support phases.

Ensure compliance with Oracle internal processes and quality standards.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships as an Oracle ambassador, ensuring successful project delivery and high client satisfaction.

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners for the coordinated delivery of Oracle solutions.

Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting corporate banking operations.

Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or Science.
3–6 years’ experience within Corporate Banking functions (Lending, Limits, Supply Chain, Trade Finance, Cross Border Payments/SWIFT).
Demonstrated expertise in gathering business and functional requirements.
Strong understanding of corporate banking operations across multiple markets (India, US, Europe, Asia).
Hands-on experience in at least one domain area: Limits & Corporate Lending, Supply Chain, Trade Finance, Cross Border settlements, SWIFT.
Proven ability to prepare functional documentation and specifications.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience in customer interfacing for requirement analysis and solution design.
Experience supporting or leading Product Implementation and Support initiatives.
Good-to-Have
Prior experience in banking/financial institutions.
Exposure to Capital Markets industry.
Professional certifications such as ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA.
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, BIP, PL/SQL.
Team management and mentorship experience.
