As a Principal Fusion Financial Functional Consultant, you will lead the design and delivery of Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud solutions for our clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, configure financial modules, and ensure successful implementations. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will drive best practices, mentor peers, and support digital finance transformation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud implementations, covering requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, migration, and post-go-live support.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to analyze financial processes, identify gaps, and translate business requirements into Oracle solutions.

  • Configure one or more Oracle Fusion Financials modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses) aligned to client objectives.

  • Develop and document functional specifications for integrations, reporting, and data conversions.

  • Provide guidance on application best practices, functional security, and cloud adoption strategies.

  • Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents, including escalation to Oracle Support if needed.

  • Deliver training and clear documentation to enable knowledge transfer to end-users and project teams.

  • Remain current with Oracle Cloud Financials releases and updates; proactively advise clients on enhancement opportunities.

  • Mentor consultants and facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing within project teams.

  • Utilize reporting tools, such as OTBI and BI Publisher, for financial and operational reporting; perform data validation using basic SQL queries.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience implementing Oracle E-Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud modules.

  • Minimum 2 full-cycle Oracle Fusion Financials implementations as a functional lead.

  • Proven expertise with core finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Expenses.

  • Strong skills in Oracle Fusion configuration, process mapping, and solution design.

  • Proficiency with Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher) and ability to write basic SQL queries.

  • Solid understanding of Fusion Functional Security (Duties, Roles, Privileges).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.

  • Experience in data migration, integration, and post-go-live support.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required by project assignments.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience in global, multi-currency, and multi-entity finance environments.

  • Exposure to other Oracle Cloud applications or advanced reporting capabilities.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Financials certification).

  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

  • Prior mentoring or team leadership experience.

  5. Am I comfortable acting as a trusted advisor—mentoring peers, engaging with both technical and business stakeholders, and providing best practice guidance throughout the project lifecycle?
