Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Senior Program Manager for S&OP team to keep delighting our customers by fulfilling products from Amazon and our Selling Partners at the fastest possible speed, on-time and at the lowest possible cost.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving forecast accuracy and operational efficiency across our global supply chain network. As a senior S&OP analyst, you will leverage advanced analytics, optimize global planning tools, and implement process improvements to reduce forecast deviations and enhance operational productivity. Working closely with Operations, Transportation, and cross-functional teams, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated forecasting methodologies and standardizing planning processes across regions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in planning systems, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive change in a complex, fast-paced environment.
This role is a blend of short term execution and long term strategic planning, that requires quick decision-making, with incomplete data, while also thinking big and influencing the long term direction of the Amazon Brazil Fulfillment Operations.

Key job responsibilities
Forecast Optimization & Strategic Planning:
  • Design and implement sophisticated forecasting methodologies;
  • Develop statistical models to improve prediction accuracy;
  • Create scenario planning frameworks to address demand variability;
  • Partner with Operations teams to align forecasts with operational capabilities;
  • Lead strategic initiatives to reduce forecast deviations and biases.
Global Planning Tools & Systems Enhancement:
  • Evaluate and optimize input parameters in global planning systems;
  • Identify and correct systematic biases in planning tools;
  • Standardize data input methodologies across regions;
  • Develop validation protocols for planning system inputs;
  • Create feedback loops to continuously refine planning algorithms;
  • Coordinate with IT teams to implement system improvements.
Process Excellence & Automation:
  • Architect scalable forecasting solutions leveraging advanced planning tools;
  • Implement automation to streamline routine planning processes;
  • Design and maintain planning systems integration;
  • Establish best practices for forecast exception management;
  • Drive standardization of planning processes across regions.
Advanced Analytics & Performance Management:
  • Conduct complex statistical analysis to identify forecast deviation patterns;
  • Develop root cause analysis frameworks for forecast accuracy issues;
  • Create predictive models to anticipate operational challenges;
  • Quantify financial impacts of forecast accuracy improvements;
  • Analyze cross-regional variances in forecast accuracy.
Metrics Development & Reporting:
  • Establish KPIs to measure forecast accuracy and bias;
  • Create dashboards for real-time performance monitoring;
  • Develop audit protocols for forecast quality assurance;
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data;
  • Track and report on planning tool optimization impacts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis;
  • Experience using Excel at an advanced level including practical knowledge of VBA/macros and advanced Excel functions;
  • Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
  • Experience in business intelligence and analytics;
  • Experience optimizing for short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities;
  • Experience in S&OP, demand planning, or similar analytical roles;
  • Advanced English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certificate, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field;
  • Knowledge of technical skills such as coding / statistics (python, R, Django, Spark etc.), data visualization, research;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations;
  • Experience with statistical methods (e.g., A/B Testing, Regression);
  • Knowledge of supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization and logistics or equivalent.
